Canon RF 24-70mm F2.8L IS Review Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM Review Three Way Shootout Part 1: the Lenses
2 lenses compared. ADD LENS Canon RF 24-105mm F4L IS USM. Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS. move left: move right: move left: 24–105 mm. 24–105 mm. Yes
Personally I will buy only 2 RF lenses when I get the R5: - RF 24-105 f/4 for general purpose/landscape/travel photography. The 35mm advantage over the 24-70 is not negligible and at 105mm f/4 your DoF will be as shallow as 70mm f/2.8. - RF 70-200 f/2.8 for landscape, subject, mild wildlife and telemacro (0.2 magnification is enough for my use)

The RF 24-105 has proven to be equal to, or superior to the EF version. The RF 24-105 compares favorably to the next commonly highly regarded 24-105 f/4, the Sony. In short of course the lens isn’t going to offer the IQ of fast primes. That’s a ridiculous comparison to even contemplate making.

The 24-240mm seems a pretty good lens for what it is that looks OK in the TDP tests. If you shoot subjects that lack fine detail, sharp edges that need to be defined or areas of low contrast that need to be seen, just like your secretary's little snowman, then most lenses will give similar results.
AF noise on 24-105 Lens on SERVO mode. I've had the EOS R for less than a month and I've noticed this high-pitched, tinny metallic sound coming from the lens in AF Servo mode. It's quiet, but it's noticeable in a quiet room, so you may need to raise the volume a bit or use headphpones. It seems like the sound is from the lens constantly setting
